Laughing gas, often known as nitrous oxide, is the most commonly utilized technique to reduce mild to moderate anxiety in children. When applied with a tiny mask that covers your child's nose, it effectively reduces anxiety. It will be required for your child to breathe through their nose rather than their mouth. Your child will still be awake and able to communicate with the dentist, but he or she will grow calm as the gas starts to work.

Your child will begin breathing ordinary oxygen at the conclusion of the appointment, negating the effects of the nitrous oxide. Nitrous gas might not be required as your child grows older and more accustomed to dental visits.
